Psychotherapy for Individuals

Individual Therapy

In my work with individuals, I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space to explore what's feeling painful, stuck, or uncertain in your life. People often come to therapy navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, identity questions, relationship struggles, neurodivergence (including ADHD and autism), or life transitions.

My Approach

My first aim is to understand what is happening for you. I work integratively, which means I don't apply one method to everyone. Instead, I draw on different approaches depending on what you bring and what you need, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), psychodynamic and attachment-based therapy, and somatic and neurobiological understandings of how emotion, memory and protective strategies are held in the body.

I see attachment styles not as fixed traits, but as intelligent survival strategies shaped by early relational experiences. In therapy, we work gently to understand these patterns and how they show up in your body, your relationships and your inner world. Paying attention to your nervous system is central to this, including cues of safety and overwhelm, which can present differently across neurotypes.

I welcome clients of all genders, sexualities, relationship structures, neurotypes and cultural backgrounds. Whatever you are carrying, whether that's confusion, anger, shutdown or longing, all parts of you are welcome here, including the parts that feel uncertain, protective or in pain.

Over time, the work supports greater self-understanding, emotional regulation, and a more grounded and connected way of being.

Frequently Asked Questions

The things people want to know before they make contact.

What is relational psychotherapy, exactly?+
It means the relationship itself, between you and me, between you and your partner, between the different parts of yourself, is the primary site of the work. We work with what you think, what you feel, and what your body already knows.
What is neuroaffirming therapy?+

Neuroaffirming therapy means I don't treat neurodivergence as something to fix or work around. I work with an understanding that your neurotype, whether that's ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia or another neuro-minority, shapes how you communicate, how you experience the world, how you process emotion, and how you show up in relationship with yourself and others.

Being attuned to your emotional and sensory needs isn't an add-on to the work. It's at the centre of it. Whether you're diagnosed, self-identified, or just beginning to understand your own neurology, you are welcome here, and the work will meet you where you are.

Do you only work with individuals, or couples too?+
Both: individual work is a significant part of my practice, alongside couples therapy. I bring a relational and systemic lens to all of it, which means even in one-to-one work, your relationships are always part of the conversation.
What are your fees?+
Individual therapy is €100 for a 60 minute session.
Is this a confidential space?+

Yes. Everything you share in our sessions is confidential. I am bound by the ethical guidelines of the IACP, which means what you bring to the room stays in the room.

There are a small number of legal exceptions to confidentiality, where there is risk of serious harm to yourself or others, and I will always be transparent with you about these if they arise. Outside of those circumstances, your privacy is fully protected.

Before we begin working together I always share these details in the therapy contract, and I ensure that you feel happy and safe to proceed.

Do we need to be in crisis to come?+
Absolutely not. Many of my clients come because they can feel there's more available to them, and they want to get there. The most productive work often happens before the crisis, not after.
Do you work online?+
Yes, online sessions work well and I see clients globally. In-person sessions are available in Wicklow. For couples intensives, I work in person.
How do I know if you're the right fit?+
Meeting with me online before we work together gives you the opportunity to get a sense of how I work, and it also enables me to get a sense of what you're bringing and where you're at. It must feel right for both of us. It is in the free discovery call that you ask me your questions and feel into whether this is right for you.
